
Amritsar, June 26 (Manjt Kaur) – “Mega Job Fest-2015” was organized by CKD Institute of Management and Technology under the aegis of renowned Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society. The job fair aimed at pooling around 500 vacancies for job seekers by bringing together more than 20 blue-chip companies like: HCL Technologies (B-SERVE); Teleperformance India; ICICI Bank; Micro Labs Ltd.; SARE-Homes; Videocon Telecom; HK Clarks Inn etc. in various sectors including IT, Banking, Insurance, finance, Real estate, telecom, Media, retail, Pharmaceutical, Hotel, hospital Industry etc under one roof.
Around 450 candidates from all over Punjab came to participate in this job fest out of which 125 candidates were finally selected. Depending upon their skills and talents companies have offered handsome packages starting from 2.00 Lacs p.a. to 3.06 Lacs p.a.
- Charanjit Singh Chadha, President, CKD and S. Narinder Singh Khurana, Honorary Secretary while extending their good wishes to the selected candidates said, “Apart from providing good education to the students it is the responsibility of college to facilitate its students with good job opportunities. We strive to inculcate business and entrepreneurship aptitude and develop soft skills among students to groom them for a suitable job.”
Dr. Baljinder Singh, Member –Incharge and Dr. H.S. Sandhu, Principal of CKDIMT admired the efforts put in by S. Paramjit Singh Makkar, Dean Placements for organizing the show. “CKDIMT has successfully completed its second Mega Job Fest with remarkable presence of top-notch companies. We have achieved a great milestone in this direction”, they further added.
- Paramjit Singh Makkar inspired students to make proper use of their skills to grab these rare opportunities. The job aspirants said that such job fests should be held because it provides a common platform to the youth to choose the sector they wish to join.
Various company executives remarked that through these job fests they are able to find such talented and incumbent candidates who may prove to be good assets for their companies. They also applauded the ultra modern infrastructure and soft skills training facilities provided to the CKDIMT students.
