World Photography Day celebrated in BBK DAV College for Women

Amritsar, Sept. 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – World Photography Day, a big day for photographers was celebrated with great pomp and show in BBK DAV College for Women by the Still Photography and Audio Production and Commercial Art department. This department has graduate and post graduate degree in Commercial Art and Photography which open up opportunities for the students in advertising market as illustrators, graphic designers, visualisers, professional fashion photographers etc. and getting handsome salary packages from the publications houses, TV channels, Newspapers, Printing production houses.

Mr. Sundeep Zutshi, Head of Department declared the photography competition open by announcing the topic ‘Eyes’ Each participant was required to submit one best shot in  black and white. Students showed great enthusiasm for the competition. The hard work of the students was appreciated. On the day of results announcement, Sh. O.P. Verma, Veteran Artist in Indian Academy of Fine Arts was the honourable Chief Guest, who has an experience of 35 years in anatomy.  Ms. Priyanka Sharma (DAV Public School, Amritsar), Ms. Jyoti Thakur (DAV Police Public School, Amritsar) and Mr. Harman (Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar) were the honourable judges for the event. Prabhdeep of BA V Sem was declared first, Radhika of BFA was declared second and Shreyanshi of B.A. V Sem stood third. The talent of the students was so extraordinary that some students were also given the consolation prizes.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, congratulated the winners and appreciated the staff and the students of the department for the great success of the event. Mr. Sundeep Zutshi (HOD), Ms. Sakshi Vyas, Ms. Chamanpreet Kaur & Mr. George also applauded the efforts of the students.
