Amritsar, Dec. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – World renowned NGO, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal a unit of Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation, under the supervision of its Founder Chairman Jitender Singh Shunty (Nagar Sewak), successfully organized its 137th Blood Donation Camp today at Jhilmil Colony, Shahdara in East Delhi in an initiative to help the Flood Victims in Chennai. Over 200 unit of blood was collected in this camp with the help of satisfactory and successful medical checkup by Doctors from GTB Hospital, Delhi. The chief guest on the occasion was Lok Sabha MP, Sh. Maheish Girri and Guest of Honour were MLA, Sh. OP Sharma, Mayor of East Delhi, Sh. Harsh Malhotra and DCP, East Delhi. The Founder Chairman of the NGO Jitender Singh Shunty along with his Son Manish Singh Shunty inaugurated the camp by donating blood together. Also present on the occasion was Manjeet Kaur Shunty (The President of the Women Cell of the NGO). “In the past also along with the regular daily basis of blood donations, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal has helped the victims of various natural disaster time to time. As we all are aware that Chennai People are facing a big natural calamity, it is our moral responsibility to help our brother and sisters there, just like we did during Nepal Earthquake. We have also decided to set up a 24 x 7 Langar (Community Kicthen) System along with just like in Nepal with due guidance of DSGMC. SBSSD & SBSF have always stood by people in their good and bad times and will always do forever. SBSSD is a mission more than anything.” Said Jitender Singh Shunty.
