Army Commander Western Command Visited Vajra Corps

Jalandhar, Jul 21(Punjab Post Bureau) – Lieutenant General  KJ Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command visited the Vajra Corps.  Army Commander laid wreath at ‘Vajra Shaurya Sthal’ and paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Vajra Corps who sacrificed their life to uphold the dignity, honour  and pride of the Nation. Lieutenant General JS Cheema, General Officer Commanding Vajra Corps alongwith  senior veterans in the station, serving officers  and men of  Vajra Corps were present for the occasion. During his address to all ranks of the Vajra Corps, the General Officer appreciated the contribution of the formation to Western Command’s remarkable achievements in last two years and  exhorted all the personnel to remain vigilant. The Army Commander Western Command on his farewell tour arrived here after visiting Amritsar and Ferozepur where he addressed the troops besides dedicating the ‘Shaheed Smarak’ located at Abdul Hamid Samadhi Sthal at Asal Uttar to the martyrs of 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak Wars.
