
Amritsar, August 2 (Punjab Post Bureau)- A fifteen day Swach Bharat Camp was inaugurated in the Guru Nanak Bhawan Auditroium of the Guru Nanak Dev University. This camp is being organized by NSS Department of the University. Prof. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Registrar inaugurated this camp. Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Programe Officer welcomed the chief guest and others while Ms. Harkirandip Kaur, Programe Officer gave the details about the camp. Dr. Hardip Singh Gujral, Programme Coordinator presented vote of thanks.
Prof. Dhillon said that NSS volunteers should follow the emblem of NSS and work for the benefit of others and not for themselves. He said that they should also create awareness among masses about their social responsibilities. He said that this will be their noble contribution to the society. He exhorted them to fulfill the Swach Bharat Mission as desired by our worthy Prime Minister for the sake of Nation. On this occasion all the volunteers took pledge to keep clean their surroundings. During these 200 volunters would conduct cleanliness drives at various venues. They would also attend lectures and workshops in this camp.
