
Amritsar, Aug. 30 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Swami Dayanand Study Centre and Arya Yuvti Sabha of BBK DAV College for Women observed Ved Prachar Saptah in the college premises under the visionary leadership of Arya Rattan, Dr. Punam Suri, President, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. The purpose of the religious event was to instill vedic values into the students.
The Ved Prachar Saptah commenced with Havan Yajna and mantras of four Vedas for the welfare of the world. Havan Yajna was performed daily in which the students participated enthusiastically.
Dr. Udhyan Arya, Principal, Virjan and Gurukul, Kartarpur, appreciated the effort of the college for arranging such events which go a long way in inculcating vedic and moral values into the students. Various competitions, such as Essay Writing Competition and Poster Making Competition were organized. Students who got 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions in these competitions were also awarded.
Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated Swami Dayanand Study Centre and Arya Yuvti Sabha on taking an initiative of imbibing vedic ethos in students. She added that the main purpose of observing Vedic Prachar Saptahi is to make the new generation Arya i.e. the best. She further said the progress of India lies in abiding by the teachings of Swami Dayanand Sarswati.
Mr. J.K. Luthra, Honorary Treasurer, DAV CMC, Mr. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, LMC, Sardar Mohinderjeet Singh, Member LMC, Shri Rakesh Mehra, President, Kendriya Arya Samaj, Shakti Nagar, members of Swami Dayanand Study Centre and Arya Yuvti Sabha, along with other staff members and students, participated in the activities of the programme.
