BBK DAV College Organises DBT sponsored Guest Lectures

Amritsar, Oct. 4 (Punjab post Bureau) – Department of Chemistry of BBK DAV College for Women organized DBT sponsored guest lectures on ‘Smart Nano/Macro Structure for Biomedical Applications’ and ‘Targeted Drug Delivery System with Shape Memory’. Dr. Sukhwinder Kaur Bhullar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bursa Technical University, Turkey was the resource person.

While interacting with the students, Dr. Sukhwinder Kaur discussed the importance of auxetic structures for fabrication of stent and other biomedical applications. She threw light on the innovative approach of nanofiles in dental implants and other biomedical applications. She also mad students aware about the funding opportunities and research prospective for the students in India and Turkey. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the department for organising an informative lecture. She added that such lectures are very instrumental in imparting hands-on knowledge to the students. Dr. Poonam Bhandari Khullar, Head, Department of Chemistry, along with other faculty members, were also present on the occasion.
