Guru Ram Das’s 482nd `Gurpurab’ celebrated with fervor at Khalsa College Campus

Amritsar, October 17 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The 482nd `Gurpurab’ of Sri Guru Ram Das, Sikhs’ fourth Guru and founder of Amritsar was celebrated with religious fervor and devotion at Khalsa College campus by Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC). The College Gurdwara which witnessed prayers and Gurmat speeches was tastefully decorated. The students of Khalsa College Public School Heir performed Kirtan following Bhog of Sri Akhand Path and divinity teacher shed light on the life, philosophy and directives of the Guru.

            The students recited the Gurbani and Shabad in praise of Guru Ram Das ji who founded Amritsar. KCGC honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina congratulated one and all on Gurpurab and asked the students, staff and people to follow righteous path shown by the Guru. He said Guru Ram Das spearheaded the path of doing work by hand and resorting to the communion with God. Sikh History in charge Inderjit Singh Gagoani gave an account of the times and teachings of Guru.

            Khalsa University VC Dr. SS Chahal, Registrar Dr. JS Dhillon, Khalsa College Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, Khalsa College for Women Principal and KU DSW Dr. Sukhbir Kaur Mahal, KU Director Research Dr. RK Dhawan, Controller Exams Dr. Amarpal Singh, KCGC secretaries including SS Abdal, Ajmer Singh Heir, SS Mannan, Members Gurpreet Singh, Principal Jagdish Singh, Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon, Gur Mohinder Singh, Principal HB Singh, Principal Nanak Singh, Principal NS Bhangu, Principal SK Brar,  Principal Gurinderjit Kaur Kamboj and DS Rataul were present on the occasion.
