Guards Officers Regimental Association Reunion – 2016

Jalandhar, Dec 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The regional Brigade of The GUARDS Officers Regimental Association (GORA) Reunion was held at Jalandhar Cantonment. The region-wise event of GORA was organized for the first time at Jalandhar to cater for veterans and serving officers of this illustrious Regiment located in the States of Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Utrakhand and Himachal Pradesh. A large number of veterans to include Lt Gen HRS Mann (Retd), ex Colonel of The Regiment attended the event. Lt Gen IS Ghuman was the senior most general officer in attendance amongst the serving officers.

          It was an initiative made to maximize the outreach to GUARDS veterans and serving officers residing there. The event was appreciated by everyone present, as the veterans lauded the efforts of the Regiment in reaching out to them. The event went a long way in revitalizing the connect between the veterans and generation next and served as a platform to further the camaraderie and spirit-de-corps within the Regiment. The get-to-gather culminated in a group photograph as guests signed off their names on a ‘Sign Board’ for posterity.
