Pandit Ram Prasad Bismal Remembered with Reverence

 Amritsar, December 19 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road , prepared a special assembly to pay rich tribute to the great freedom fighter, Ram Prasad Bismal. He dedicated himself to the cause of the country. He was born in 1897 at Shahjahanpur, U.P. He was a very talented writer and many of his poems have intense patriotic feelings. Through his poetry, he was able to inspire many youths to join the freedom struggle. Pandit Ram Prasad Bismal was inspired by Arya Samaj and became its ardent follower. The students of the school sang patriotic songs and raised slogans to serve the nation under all circumstances. They also recited a few of his poems arousing patriotic feeling among the audience. In the end they took a pledge to work for the bright future of the country.

Regional Director Punjab Zone A Dr. Neelam Kamra and Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar asked the students to respect the independence they are enjoying and they should always work to maintain peace and harmony in the society.  Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, while addressing the students said that they must take inspiration from  the life of the freedom fighters who fought selflessly for the sake of the country. She added that it was now the duty of the young generation to safeguard this independence from any kind of external and internal slavery.
