DAV College Amritsar honors Govt. School Students as Special guests

Amritsar, April 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PPN2504201734On the eve of 59 Convocation Function DAV College has undertaken a new initiative of inviting village school students as special guests on the Convocation programme. This initiative was taken after suggestion given by Narender Modi, Prime Minister of India at AIIMS Convocation in Year 2014. As he suggested that such events could serve as unique inspirational moments for them in their future life.

            Four Students named Tejasvini and Deepika of Class 10th from Govt Sen Sec School, Dhapai and Amritpal Singh and Vikramjit Singh of +2 Class of Science and Arts field from Govt Sen Sec School, Bhikhiwind schools were invited on the occasion of College Convocation as Special guests. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that adopting such traditions by the College College, would work as motivational force for village school students to take that they can take admissions for higher education and can secure their future as well as get good employment opportunity in corporate world. The main purpose behind adopting such tradition was to encourage village students towards higher education and to make them aware about different fields available for them while pursuing higher Education.

            Such traditions will surely fulfill the need of quality education, innovation and research, aiming to make India a knowledge superpower by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge and to eliminate the shortage of manpower in science, technology, academics and industry.
