Havan performed at BBK DAV College for Women

Amritsar, July 5 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- A Holy Havan was performed at BBK DAV College for Women to mark the beginning of the new session on July 5, 2014. This is a regular practice in the college and every year Havan Yagya is performed to seek the blessings of Almighty for the successful and bright future of the college students. The teachers and the students of the Department of Music sang a holy song and prayed for the welfare and well being of the college students and college staff. Principal Dr. Mrs. Neelam Kamra appreciated the staff for their efforts done to bring the achievements in the field of Academics, Sports and Cultural activities. Sh. J.K. Luthra, LMC member in his speech said that the teachers and the students should always follow right path. Dr. Lakhanpal, Chairman, DAV International School exhorted the staff members to read more books and to update their knowledge. Sh. Sudershan Kapoor ji, Chairman LMC appreciated the honesty and hardwork put in by the Principal for the upliftment and the advancement of the college. The programme was conducted by Dr. Shelly Jaggi from the department of Hindi. Teaching and non-teaching members of the Staff were present in the Havan Yagya.
