BBK DAV College for Women celebrated Van Mahaotsav

Amritsar, July 8 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- NSS volunteers of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, celebrated Van Mahaotsav by conducting Declamation Contest in the college campus informed Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra. Volunteers displayed banners on various themes like tree plantation, forestation, importance of plants, wild life and its relation to trees etc. Tree plantation is a conducted in October and December month by the volunteers in the adopted village Qila Jeevan Singh informed programme officer Jaspreet Bedi. She told that last year tree plantation was also done in college campus and volunteers were very enthusiastic about environment protection. Programme officer Surbhi Sethi and Dr. Shaveta Kapoor acted as judges. Sahiba, Seep and Nisha were declared first, second and third respectively.
