Indian Air Force organized Student interaction road drive and seminar

Amritsar, September 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A team of senior air force officials, under the leadership of Wing Commander Deepak Mohapatra organized a special student interaction road drive and seminar on various career opportunities in Indian Air Force. The officials showed the presentation on Indian Air Force (IAF), delivered a motivational lecture and guided the students on various job opportunities available in Indian Air Force. As many as 1000 students from various departments of Guru Nanak Dev University participated in this drive.

Indian Air Force has developed a special “Induction publicity exhibition vehicle” (IPEV). It is specially modified vehicle (make – VOLVO) to showcase various aspects of IAF and a medium to bring the IAF to the doorstep of the candidates & aspirants across the country. This IPEV Volvo Bus was brought to the campus which showed career related information, life and training in the IAF, its assets including flying simulator and Glasstron to experience various facets of the IAF.

 They also explained to the students about the eligibility criteria for various posts, how to apply and when to apply. They distributed the pamphlets containing detailed information on various jobs. They also advised the students to visit Indian Air Force website www.careerairforce.nic.in regularly for available vacancies. They explained the procedure to apply for NDA, CDSE, NCC Special Entry, Short Service Commission for men & women and University Entry Scheme (UES).

A lot of enthusiasm was found among students for this career guidance road show. While appreciating the air force drive, Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor asked the officials to make it a regular event.
