Wipro visits CKDIMT  Amritsar for Joint Campus Placement

Amritsar,  July 15 ( Manjit Kaur)- In its move to provide quality placements to the final year students of the region CKD Institute of Management & Technology (CKDIMT) organized a Joint Campus Placement Drive for WIPRO Ltd. on 12-13 July, 2014. More than 100 Students of MBA, M.Tech , B.Tech , B.Comm, BCA, B.Sc.(IT), BBA, M.Sc.(IT) of batch passing out in 2014  from CKDIMT and other colleges such as Khalsa College of Engg. & Technology, Khalsa College for Women, DAV College, Sai Institutes, A.C.E.T., L.P.U., Rayat Bahra, Global Institutes, Baba Kuma Singh, S.S.S.S College of Amritsar participated in the recruitment process. Company Official Ms. Akanksha (H.R. Executive) addressed the students.

The Selection Process started with Pre-Placement Talk by Company Official followed by Introduction round, written test and final interview. In the Pre-Final Round, 15 students were shortlisted. After the rigorous process of almost seven different rounds, only one student, Karishma Batra (MBA student) of CKDIMT, Amritsar, (out of 100+ students) got selected with an attractive salary package of Rs. 2.4 lacs p.a. Wipro Limited is a global provider of comprehensive IT solutions and services, including Systems Integration, Consulting, Information Systems outsourcing, IT-enabled services, and R&D services.

S. Charanjit Singh Chadha (President CKD) said, “We are happy with the response that we have got from the placement drive. The students will be able to choose the right career based on exposure they get.” Dr. H.S. Sandhu, Principal, CKDIMT said “ The overwhelming response we have received from corporate as well as students is an indication of opportunities and talent that exist in the educational institutions.”  The Management, Principal, HOD, Staff also congratulate the selected student for bringing pride to the Institute.
