Guru Nanak Dev University honors student volunteers

Amritsar, Sept. 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To recognize the contribution of the students towards maintaining the Gndu1environment and saving Earth for the future generation, the Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu honored the group of students of the University with letter of appreciation, in a special function organized in the Committee Room of Vice Chancellor’s Office.  Prof. Karanjit Singh Kahlon, Registrar was also present on this occasion.

Prof. Sandhu said that this group of volunteer students has engaged themself in the plantation drive in Guru Nanak Dev University and Amritsar City from their own resources and without any financial consideration. The act of preservation of plants and environment is a step towards providing a clean and healthy ambience in the city which is a matter of great appreciation.

            The Vice Chancellor said that the young generation of volunteer is doing such a yeoman’s service that their initiative will certainly act as role model for more students to tread their path and engage themselves in voluntary endeavours which will lead to a better future. This also is a testimony to the fact that this group has immense affection for their alma mater.
