IT Giant TCS selected 224 GNDU students

Amritsar,  Oct. 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – As many as 224 students from various departments of Guru Nanak Dev University have been placed with internationally renowned Indian multinational IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). These students have been recruited as Software Engineer Trainee. a strong team of 60 members of TCS visited the University campus for recruitment. The team of TCS conducted the online test for 550 students. After online test, technical and HR interviews, TCS offered job to 224 students. The Post Graduate students have been offered an annual salary package of Rs. 3.53 Lakhs per annum (LPA) and Under Graduate students have been offered Rs. 3.36 LPA. The selected students are from Batch 2018 of B.Tech. – Computer Science, B.Tech. – Electronics, MCA and M.Tech. from main campus Amritsar as well as the regional campuses of Jalandhar, Gurdaspur and Sathiala. These students shall join their jobs in July 2018 after compelition of their formal studies. Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor congratulated the students on getting the job offers from TCS. The demand for the University students by the corporate world itself speaks of the quality infrastructure and facilities available at the University. Dr. Amit Chopra Asstt. Placement Officer added that the University is one of the favourite recruiting ground for Top IT firms and many more big names are expected shortly to hire 2018 batch students.
