Amritsar, Nov. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road observed Vigilance Awareness Week in the school which concluded on a meaningful note. During the week from 30th Oct, 2017 to 4th Nov 2017 many activities were organised in the school to spread awareness among the students about the guidelines and laws made to check corruption at every level. The theme for this year was “My Vision – Corruption Free India’. Speaking about the dreams of common man and shining India, the teachers of the school, during the week informed the students about their role in eradicating corruption. They also spoke about their rights and duties regarding this. Competitions like elocution, essay writing and slogan writing were held for the students on the same theme. The students very beautifully expressed themselves through these literary mediums and highlighted their conviction to make India corruption free. Integrity Pledge was also taken by the students of the school where everyone pledged to tread the path of virtue and create a Swachh Bharat by sweeping away vices of corruption, nepotism, illetracy etc. Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar in their message asked the students to make the country morally and ethically strong by following the virtues of honesty and justice. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school in her address stressed that corruption plays a negative role in the growth of the country and gives a bad name to it. She added that the need of the hour is a clean India in all aspects – social, political, physical and spiritual. She asked the students to come forward and be the whistle blowers and say no to any kind of corruption going around.
