Amritsar, Feb. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School , Lawrence Road , created a new record by skating non stop for 24 hours in an event “ 24 Hours on Wheels” organised by District Roller Skating Welfare Association Amritsar from June 22 to 23 2017. It’s a matter of great honour for the school that after six months the skating record created by the students has been approved by Jury Team of Limca Book of Records and has been published in Jan 2018 Edition.
The students are Saksham Sharma ( Std – UKG), Kashvi Sharma (Std – II), Pavit Loona ( Std – II) , Ghanika Sanan (Std – III) , Rishika Sharma (Std – IV) , Navya Arora (Std – IV) , Yash Sapra (Std – VI) , Yuvraj (Std VII) , Arman Singh (Std – V) and Mehak Gupta (Std – IX). These budding Limca Book of Record Holders were honoured by Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsarot and Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha on Republic Day.
Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated the students and blessed them for their future endeavours. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school also applauded and congratulated the students for their commendable achievement. She expressed her joy and advised them to keep up their good work.
