Gurjeet Singh Aujla today inspects Regional Passport Office

Amritsar Feb. 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Member Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla today inspected Regional Passport Office in response to multiple complaints received from the applicants regarding delay in services by the staff. RPO Krishan Kumar was also present during the visit. Applicants present at the office met Aujla and told their issues. Aujla said that it has been brought to his notice that there are some elements who unnecessarily delays the work of  applicants. People from far away districts have to come many times for the work. He said that this insensitivity of the passport office staff will not be tolerated. A letter of the data collected has been sent to the Consular, Passport and Visa Division (CPV) of Ministry of External Affairs for investigation and solution. Aujla said that the report by the CPV will itself reveal the mafia activity and disciplinary action shall be taken against the erring.
