International Conference on Clean Technologies & Sustainable Development organized

Chandigarh, Feb. 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The two day Robust International Conference on Clean PPN2602201811Technologies and Sustainable Development being organized by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research(NITTTR) Chandigarh and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)  in collaboration with Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India and Chitkara University concluded today i.e. February 24, 2018 at NITTTR Campus in Sector 26, Chandigarh. More than 300 delegates from across the globe actively participated inthe conference.

 The aim of the conference was to provide ainstigate and initiate a Process to foster Sustainable Development Ecosystem through Clean Technologies; this periphery had a blend of experts representing industry, academia and research domains globally.

                           The day two of the conference started with a Technical Session chaired by Mr. Amit Talwar, PCS, Additional Secretary, Transportation & Housing, UT Chandigarh; and Prof. Maj. Gen. (Dr.) B. Nagarajan from IIT, Kanpur and coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) J.S Saini, Prof. and Head, EDIC Dept., NITTTR, Chandigarhon the theme “Clean Manufacturing &Automobile” and encompassed the presentations from eminent domain experts from India and Abroad to name a few Dr. Rajaram Ghadge, Reliance Industries Limited; Mr. Yogesh Sood, Consultant International Copper Association, India (ICAI) and APQI; Prof. (Dr.)Frank Peter Helmus, Process Engineer, HOCHSCHULEOSNABRUCK, University of Applied Sciences, Germany;Dr. D.S. Khatri,Senior Consultant, Clean Technologies for Manufacturing. Dr. Priyanka Kumar from School ofPlanning and Architecture, New Delhi.

                            Chief Guest Dr. K.K.Talwar, Chairman, Board of Governors NITTTR Chandigarh while addressing the Guests, Participants and other Stakeholders during the valedictory ceremony appreciated the layout and design of the Chandigarh from the quality of life perspective in context of the availability of fresh air i.e. the environment’s upkeep. He congratulated the Conference Patron – Dr. S.S Pattnaik Director NITTTR, Chandigarh and the coordinators of the conference viz. a viz. Dr. Sanjay Sharma and Dr. Rakesh Kumar Wats, Professorsfrom NITTTR Chandigarh, Chitkara University; and FICCI

                            Dr. Varinder Kanwar, Registrar, ChitkaraUniversity, Himachal Pradesh thanked the institutions including NABARD, PEDA, RDC, GATE GURU, WIPRO etc. for all their support in terms of Sponsorship and Manpower. He extended special thanks to FICCI for coming forward and bridging the academia-industry gap by ensuring the representation from apex industrial houses of the Country and Abroad and for all their support and encouragement.
