Annual Flower Show and Garden Competition on Mar. 11

Jalandhar, Mar. 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Annual Flower Show and Garden Competition for 2018 is being organized in Jalandhar Cantonment. The event will be held at Jawahar Garden and will be inaugurated by Zonal President AWWA, 11 Corps.  This 94 years old event traditionally attracts a large number of visitors, both service personnel as well as the residents of Jalandhar Cantt.  Many senior officials of the Army, BSF, Punjab Police and civil administration are expected to grace the event. It is a popular event which receives many entries from educational institutions, public offices and individuals, both civil and military.  There are several categories of display which include foliage plants, potted flowers, cut flowers, flower arrangement etc.  Prizes are also awarded for the best institutional garden, best maintained roundabouts and best arboriculture project.
