Poster Making Competition organized by Red Ribbon Club of DAV College

Amritsar, Mar. 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Red Ribbon Club , DAV College organized a Poster Making Competition based on the theme of “AIDS Awareness”. Red Ribbon club is a movement started by Government of India in Educational Institutes through which awareness about HIV/Aids is created. About 60 students of the college from different streams like MSC (Computer Science), BSc (Computer Science), B.Sc (Economics), B.Sc. (BT), B.Sc (Non Medical), B.Com, B.D.M.M participated in this competition. The competition was organized under the supervision of Prof Harsimran Singh Anand, Nodal officer Red Ribbon club, Prof Kapil Goyal, and Prof Renu Sharma.  Principal Dr. Rajesh kumar appreciated the efforts of the co-coordinators for organizing such competitions. Moreover He said that the students should be well aware about this issue and should spread this message to the world in order to make others aware. Speaking on the event Prof. Harsimran Singh Anand Nodal officer Red Ribbon Club acquainted the students about the disease and advised the students not to look down upon the aids patients but help them to recover from the trauma.
