SGHPS G.T Road observes International Women’s Day

Amritsar, Mar. 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School  G.T Road observed International Women’s Day. Speaking on the momentous occasion Principal/ Director Dr. Dharam Veer Singh highlighted the contribution of women in all facets of human endeavor especially the education sector. Harminder Singh Member Incharge said that gone are the days when women were secluded behind the veil and were considered inferior to male. He stressed upon the crucial role a woman plays not only for her family but for the social, cultural and economic progress of nation as well. Mrs. Sukhjit Kaur divinity teacher talked about the role of women in Sikh history. The school honoured Mrs. Manju supervisor Primary section for her exemplary contribution in the development of school.
