DAV Public School Shines At State Level

Amritsar, May 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A State Level Yoga Championship – 2018  was organised  by Everest Yoga Institute and Yoga Society of Punjab. The Competition was held at Ludhiana where 500 participants participated from all over the state.  The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road, Amritsar performed brilliantly in this championship and brought laurels for the school.   In 12 – 15 years category, Manya Mahajan and Aanchal Rawat of Std VII won First position in Artistic Pair Yoga; Hemshikha Kumari of Std – VII  and Soumya Vandhera of Std IX bagged Second position in Artistic Pair Yoga ;  Manya Mahajan of Std VIII, Aanchal Rawat of Std – VII and Soumya Vadhera of Std IX  won Second team Position  and Manya Mahajan also won Third Individual position in the same category. Also Chaitney Sharma of STD VI, Ekamjot Singh of Std VI and Parth Sharma of Std VII bagged Second Team Position in this category.  In 15 – 18 years category Aanaya  Kapoor of Std XI won  First Position in Artistic Pair Yoga and also bagged First  Position in Artistic Pair Yoga. She also bagged First Individual Position. Vanshika Arora of Std –XI  won First Team Position  and Second  Individual  Position in the same category. Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar of the school congratulated the students for their fabulous performance. They encouraged them to focus on their skill in bring laurels in future too. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school while applauding the students said that she was very happy to see her students shine at the state level and would love to see them represent the country and  win international recognition.
