Pingalwara opens its 6th school for the deaf children

PPN1105201807Hoshiarpur, May 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – All India Pingalwara Charitable Society Amritsar today started sixth school for the deaf children at Kakkon Hoshiarpur. It was inaugurated by Bibi Dr. Inderjit kaur, President of Pingalwarain  the building which isl provided by Bhai Kanihya Society Tanda and Asha Kiran welfare Society Hoshiarpur. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Inderjit kaur highlighted the problems of the deaf children and urged the parents to send their children to the school regularly. She also said that 7 districts of Punjab are still without schools for the deaf and Pingalwara aims to fill this gap in these 7 districts in the coming years. In the last two years Pingalwara has opened 5 elementary schools in Attari, Buttar kalan (Qadian), Sarhali (TarnTaran), Katora (Ferozepur) with the main school being at Manawala Amritsar, said Bibi Inderjit Kaur. Ravinder Singh Sodhi from Pingalwara Society of Ontario spoke about the wholehearted contribution of the well-wishers of Pingalwara from Canada in the field of education. He assured that this contribution will continue in future.

Malkiat Singh Maheru President and members of Asha Kiran Welfare Society, Ujjal Singh President and members of Bhai Kanihya Society Tanda, Mohinder Pal Singh Baweja  from Hoshiarpur, Mrs Sudesh from Garhshankar and many others were present on the occasion.
