CKD office bearers condemn reports of ‘other political affiliations’

Amritsar, May 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Taking strong notice of a report regarding growing camaraderie between former rivals and the resultant increasing factionalism to dethrone its newly elected President Dr. Santokh Singh, appearing in a section of the media on Monday, the office bearers of Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD) have condemned the same. Terming the news report as ‘baseless’ and ‘unfounded’, Dhanraj Singh former acting President CKD said that while the news report claimed his affiliation to another group, he is not attached to any political party. “All the claims made against me in the news report are baseless. I am not attached with any political party. I am working independently to support the Diwan, its office-bearers and activities,” he said.

Dr. Santokh Singh, President CKD, too condemned the report as groundless. “Dhanraj Singh has his own independent identity, but he’s working wholeheartedly to support the cause of the CKD and not against it as has been claimed in the news report,” he said. In a joint statement issued on Monday, both leaders said they are holding each others’ hand for the betterment of the CKD and to take it to new heights.
