DAV Public School Celebrates Independence Day with Fervor

Amritsar, Aug. 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School , Lawrence Road , Amritsar today celebrated Independence Day with great fervor. The students paid their reverence to the great freedom fighters and the leaders who shaped India for future. The students of the school sang patriotic songs remembering the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and pledging to serve the nation with their heart and soul. The students staged a role – play highlighting the concerns like unemployment, reservation , female foeticide, corruption etc. faced by free India. A colourful classical dance anointing Mother India was also presented by the students.  Arya Ratan Sh.Punam Suri ji President DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi sent his best wishes for the teachers and the students. He asked the students to be proud of their cultural heritage and respect the holy scriptures. He added that with education we can take the country to new heights. So , we all must work to spead awareness around us. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate sent their best wishes for the students on this occasion. They advised the students to be focused and aim for excellence to bring laurels for the country. Dr. Neera Shamra Principal of the school said that students need to understand the true meaning of independence. Freedom always comes with duties and responsibilities which we all need to fulfill. She advised the students to work selflessly in removing the evils from the country.
