Amritsar, Aug 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – An Inter-School Sahodya Competition of Media & IT Fest was held at school in which 350 students representing 27 prestigious CBSE schools of the city recorded their participation. Media and IT helps us to stay upto date with the latest trends, so the chief motive of this competition was to create a common platform for the students of different schools to come under one roof and adopt innovative techniques and learn various skills and ideas.
The participants were adjudged by Prof. Anterpreet Kaur BBK DAV College Journalism department, Dr. Ruchi Khalsa College of Ed., Dr. Kuljeet Singh Assistant Prof P.U), Er. Jaideep Singh (CKD College) and Diljot Singh Khalsa College of Engineering. There were 10 events related to Media and IT like product Photography, Quiz, PPT, Audio dl editing etc.
All the contestants participated in various events with zeal and enthusiasm. Students were evaluated on problem solving skills, decision making, creative thinking and innovation and teamwork. Different venues were visited by Dr. Harbhajan Singh HOD Computer Deptt. Khalsa College, Principal/ Director Dr. Dharam Veer Singh, Harminder Singh-MI and they appreciated the active participation of the students. Prizes distribution was held after the competitions.
The Principal on the occasion said that Sahodaya schools events play a vital role in motivating students to perform, excel and offer a lot more reward than just winning a prize. He congratulated all the winners and encouraged them to keep participating in future also.
Addressing the audience Harminder Singh said that competitions offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyse and evaluate outcomes & showcase personal aptitude. The Members Incharge congratulated the winners of all the events.
On the Spot PPT Competition First was Stalwart World School, Second was Cambridge International School and third was Senior Study School. In Quiz Competition First Was Sri Guru Harkkrishan Public School G. T. Road, Second was Wood Stuck Public School and Third was Cambridge School. In Music Remix Competition First was SSSS Modern School, Second was Khalsa International School and third was Sri Guru Harkkrishan Public School G. T. Road. In Advertising remix First was Delhi Public School, Second was Stalwart Public School and third was Sri Guru Harkkrishan Public School Bye Pass whereas In Debug the Code event First was Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Public School Kalanour, Second was Khalsa College International School and third was Sri Guru Harkkrishan Public School G.T Road.The Principal and Members of Management honored the judges on the occassion. The programme was organized by Mass Media and IT department.
