DAV Public Student Felicitated by Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani

Amritsar, Aug. 28 (Punjab Post Bureau)-  Rahul Rai  of Std VI of DAV Public School , Lawrence Road has made the school proud by being felicitated by Smt. Smriti Zubin  Irani , Union HRD minister for his outstanding performance in the field of skating. He has won many medals in various skating tournaments at State and National level. Recently he won two Gold medals  in Rink Race I & II in U – 12 Boys, in CBSE North Zone II skating championship. He was nominated by CBSE for the award under its programme  “Abhinandan’ to felicitate meritorious students. He received a letter of appreciation by CBSE and a message personally signed by the Prime Minister. He has also been awarded the Nehru Award by CBSE in which he has received a cash prize of Rs.6000 and  a certificate . Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women , Lawrence Road , Amritsar and the Manager of the school Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal  DAV College , Hathi Gate , Amritsar congratulated the student for his brilliant performance. They praised the school for providing  the best of opportunities to the students. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school, expressed her happiness at the achievement of the student. She congratulated him and advised him to work hard and better his performance with regular practice.
