Amritsar, Dec. 20 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A daylong seminar on ‘Milk- a Perfectly Balanced Diet’ was organized at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women (SGTBCW) in which the experts informed the students about the health benefits of milk and its products and how its daily consumption is necessary for youngsters. The seminar was sponsored by the Punjab Dairy Development Board (PDDB), said Principal Nanak Singh. Principal said that stakeholders of the dairy industry including academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs and civil society members also participated in the seminar as the Guest Speaker, Deputy Director PDDB Dr. Kashmir Singh stressed on the scope of dairy development in Punjab and the need to usher in white revolution for augmenting employment and supplementing farm incomes. Another expert Amandeep Singh also threw light on the nutritional value of milk as the most balanced diets.
