Amritsar, April 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road conducted a special assembly on Earth Day. They shared their views about the importance of environment conservation and how to work towards it. They also spoke on the measures which should be taken to save planet Earth from global warming.
They sang songs, recited poems and enacted a role play on the same theme. Students took a pledge that they would respect their natural inheritance and be a good care taker of their planet and together they can make everyday ‘Earth Day’. Students also participated in creative activities like poster making and slogan writing to showcase their awareness about conserving natural resources.
Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar sent their best wishes to the students and advised them that it is the duty of every citizen to protect his environment as it helps to protect different ecosystems.
Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school addressed the students and reminded them of their responsibility towards mother Earth and to protect and save their fast depleting natural resources.
