Amritsar, Sept. 13 (Manjit Kaur)- Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society gave the start to their cooperation to flood victims of Jammu Kashmir by dispatching truck loaded with 1000 blankets which had been purchased from the Amritsar Swadeshi Mill at the cost of Rs. 5 lac with the best quality. After performing Ardass, with the cooperation of District Commissioner Sh. Ravi Bhagat. these blankets were dispatched to flood hit people in the presence of Chief Khalsa Diwan members at Sri Guru Ramdass International airport through a special flight. while expressing a deep shock and grievance for the havoc created in jammu Kashmir, President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha said that Chief Khalsa Diwan has stepped up the support and aid to the flood ravaged valley by sending 1000 blankets. We would keep sending relief packages to J&K in the form of financial assistance and other relief material. He added that Chief Khalsa Diwan would always be ready to serve humanity in this hour of crises. At this occasion Resident President S. Nirmal Singh, Hony. Secy. S. Narinder Singh Khurana, S. Harjit Singh Chadha, S. Kuljit Singh Sahni, S. Harminder Singh S. Santokh Singh Sethi, S. Hakam Singh, Dr. Dharamveer Singh were present.
