DAV Public School Bags First Position in Yoga

Amritsar, May 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – State Level Yoga Championship was held at Mamta Niketan Sprouts recently. The Championship was organised by Yoga Society of Punjab . In this Championship many schools from all over Punjab participated. The Yoga team of DAV Public School Lawrence Road bagged First Position in this Championship. The team consisted of – Ankush  Chaudhary Std – XII, Nitin Kumar Std – VII, Arpit Sharma Std – IX, Omansh Sharma Std – VII, Hiten Sharma Std – V, Krishan Bhalla Std – V, Manya Std – IX, Vanshika Arora Std – XII, Hemshikka Kumari Std – VIII and Soumya Vadhera Std – X.

                   Also , Ankush Chaudhary won Individual First Position in under 16 age group. Nitin Kumar and Arpit Sharma won first position in Rhythmic Yoga Pair. Manya Mahajan and Vanshika Arora got first position in pair Artistic Yoga in under 16 age group. Hemshikka Kumari and Soumya Vadhera stood first in pair Artistic Yoga in under 14 age group.

                   Regional Officer Punjab Zone–A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar congratulated the team for their brilliant performance. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school expressed her happiness at the fabulous performance of the students. She advised everyone to make Yoga a part of their life for healthy living.
