DAV Public School Shines in ‘Healthy Punjab Games’

Amritsar. Aug 10 (Punjab Post bureau) – Punjab Government organised Tandrust Punjab Games at The Wheel Skating Track Loharka Road Amritsar recently to Commemmorate 550^th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji. The following students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road bagged top positions and brought laurels for the school : Lakshil Bansal of Std – V  won two Silver medals in 500 mtr and 1000 mtr race and Ghanika Sanan of Std – V won 2 Silver Medals and One Bronze  Medal in 500 mtr, 1 Lap and 2000 mtr race respectively. Both these students have been selected for State Level championship for their brilliant performance. Also in Punjab Open State Skating Championship hosted by Youth and Sports Development Association at Khalsa College Public School, Amritsar , the students  of the school proved their mettle. Taanish Vashisht of Std – V won 2 Gold Medals, Anurag Khosla of Std – IV won 2 Gold Medals, Gushaan Singh of Std – IV won 2 Silver Medals , Raghav Khosla of   Std – IV won 2 Silver Medals, Armaan Singh of Std – V won 2 Bronze Medals and Krishiv Arora of Std – IV won 1 Bronze Medal.Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the     school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Hathi Gate congratulated the students & wished them luck for their future endeavors. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school was very happy at the performance of the students. She asked them to do their best and maintain a balance between sports and academics.
