BBK DAV College lifts GNDU Inter College Road Cycling Championship

 Amritsar, Sept. 24 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The cycling team of BBK DAV College for Women, has bagged GNDU Inter College Road Cycling Championship Trophy held at GNDU securing 14 points. GNDU Campus team stood second with 7 points and HMV College, Jalandhar, ended up as second runners up team with 6 points. In 15 KM Team Time Trail event BBK DAV College for Women, got 1^st position, HMV got 2^nd and GNDU campus stood 3^rd. In 10 KM individual Team Time Trail Event, Ms. Sayona of the College won silver and Ms. Rajbir won bronze medal. The team members Ms. Sayona, Ms. Parvathy, Ms. G. Manisha, Ms. Rajbir, Ms. Narpinder and Ms. Jasmine Kaur have been selected for All India Inter University going to be held at GNDU Campus in November 2014.

It is pertinent to note that team member Ms. Parvathy has attended India Camp and has represented India at International events. Also Ms. Sayona has participated in Common Wealth Games and Ms. G. Manisha has participated in Asian Championship previously. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra congratulated the winners and Ms. Sweety Bala Head of Department, Ms. Savita, Ms. Rupinder, and Ms. Rajwant also congratulated the players for this success.
