Amritsar, September 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The post-graduate department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College organized a workshop on Financial Education Awareness in which resource persons Kuldeep Thareja, the senior manager, National Institute of Securities Market, Mumbai stressed on `safe investments plans’. He highlighted the significance of savings and investment in securities market and explained the basics of instruments dealt in the securities market and precautions to be taken by individuals while making investments.
Bhagwant Singh Sidhu, a Trainer at Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) also gave tips of stocks investments and pointed practical training to the students about investment plans associated with securities market. The workshop was planned and executed under the supervision of Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, said Dr Avtar Singh, Head of the department. Dr. AK Kahlon, Dean, Commerce, Dr. Ajay Sehgal, workshop Coordinator said the aim was to apprise the students and staff about the latest in the subject.
