DAV Public School observes Punjab Day with fervor

Amritsar, Nov. 1 (Punjab Post Bureau)  – DAV Public School, Lawrence Road observed Punjab Day with great zeal and fervour. To commemorate the struggle of Punjab and its heroes, the students of the school staged a special colourful programme that echoed with Punjabi folk songs and songs narrating the valour of Punjab. The students informed the audience about the rich history of the day and remembered the great warriors and freedom fighters from Maharaja Ranjit Singh to Bhagat Singh with reverence. The students recited self composed poems reaching out to the youth to save the culture and once prosperous state from the shadows of drugs. In the end they took a pledge to safeguard Punjab from the shakcles of  unemployment, corruption and crime.

          Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar , Principal DAV College Amritsar sent their best wishes to the students on this occasion. They said that Punjabi literature has so much to offer, guide and inspire the youth of today. They also appreciated the students to stand for a just cause and be proud of their culture.

Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school advised the students to tread on the right path and utilise their ingenuity to make the state a developed state in all facets. Most importantly she urged the youth of today to stay away from drugs.
