DAV Public School Grabs Silver Medal in Chess & Yoga

Amritsar, Nov 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In the recently held DAV National Sports Zonal Tournament students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road grabbed Silver Medals in Chess and Yoga. The Championship was held at DAV Public School, Jalandhar. In Chess, Rishi Sanhotra of Std –X  bagged Silver Medal, Sadil Verma (X), Divyansh ( VII), Vandit (XII) also won silver medal. The chess team clinched First Position in District and Second Position in Zonal Championship. Also Rishi Sanhotra (X) has been selected for National Championship to be held in Hyderabad in December this year.

In Yoga Ankush Chaudhary (XII), Arpit Kumar Sharma (IX) and Ayushman Saini (IX) bagged Silver Medal. The Yoga team secured second position in DAV Zonal Championship. Ankush Chaudhary has been selected for DAV National Championship to be held this year.

Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated the students for their brilliant performance. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school also applauded the efforts of the students and blessed them for their future endeavors. She asked them to do their best and make the school and the nation proud.
