DAV National Sports Zonal Level Tournament Closing Ceremony

Amritsar, Nov 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Two days DAV National Sports Zonal Level Tournament hosted by DAV Public School, Lawrence Road culminated today. 30 schools from six different zones participated in it.

The results are as follows :

Badminton

• Under 19 Boys – Winner’s trophy was lifted by Cluster 1 ( Jalandhar , Ludhiana) , and Runners Up trohpy

   was bagged by Cluster 2 (Amritsar).

• Under 19 Girls – Winner’s trophy was lifted by Cluster 2 ( Amritsar) and Runners up trophy was clinched by

                          Cluster 1 (Jalandha, Ludhiana)

Taekwondo

• Under 19 Boys – Winner’s Trophy was bagged by Cluster 1 ( Jalandhar , Ludhiana) , and Runners up Trophy

 by Cluster 2 (Amritsar)

• Under 19 Girls – Winner’s Trophy was secured by Cluster 1 (Jalandhar , Ludhiana) and Runners up Trophy

                         was lifted by Cluster 2 ( Amritsar )

Karate

• Under 19 Boys – Winner’s Trophy was bagged by Cluster 2 (Amritsar) , and Runners Up trophy was secured

                          by Cluster 1  (Jalandhar, Ludhiana)

• Under 19 Gilrs – Winner’s Trophy was clinched by Cluster 2 (Amritsar) , and Runners Up trophy by Cluster

                          1 (Jalandhar, Ludhiana)

Football

• Under 19 Girls – Winner’s Trophy was lifted by Cluster 1 ( Jalandhar , Ludhiana) and Runners Up Trophy by

                          Cluster 3 (Bhatinda)

• Under 19 Boys – Winner’s Trophy was lifted by Cluster 1 ( Jalandhar , Ludhiana) and Runners Up Trophy by

                          Cluster 3 (Bhatinda)

         Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school felicitated the winners and emphasised that sports are the only medium through which students can build self confidence, discipline, fair play and team spirit. She also urged that students should manage their time for study as well as sports if they want to perform well in life. She expressed her gratitude to the visiting teams and their coaches for their kind co–operation.

         Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr.Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar lauded the efforts of all the participants and emphasised that each child should identify his hidden talent and shape it to the best of his capacity and blessed them for their future endeavours.
