ADC launches Rs 13207 Crore NABARD Potential Linked Plan 2020-21 for Distt. Amritsar

Amritsar, Dec 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal launched Potential PPNJ2212201909Linked Credit Plan (PLP) 2020-21 document prepared by NABARD for total outlay Rs 13207 Crore for Amritsar district. The PLP was launched at District Consultative Committee at Amritsar. This PLP document covers the potential credit areas under the Priority sector. The PLP outlay has been increased by approx. 00.70% from last year potential.

Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed on quality lending to farmers under modern farming practices so as to boost the development of district. Bankers were guided to focus on MSME sector as it plays crucial role in welfare of the district.

NABARD District Development Manager Shri Jaskirat Singh informed that agriculture  credit  should  increase  under  investment  credit  so  that  capital  formation  in agriculture sector can take place. The theme for the year 2020-21 is ‘Hi-Tech Agriculture’ so as to improve farm economy by adopting modern farming techniques. Taking into account the above factors, the total projections of  the   PLP  for  the  year  2019-20  have   been  estimated  at  Rs.13207 Crore inclusive of  Rs.4826 Crore for Crop Loan, Rs.667 Crore for Term Loan for agriculture allied, Rs.521Crore for agriculture infrastructure, Rs.608Crore for agriculture ancillary activities, Rs.3402 Crore for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises  Rs.1003Crore for Export Credit, Rs.522Crore for Education, Rs.1465Crore for Housing,  Rs.32 Crore for Renewable Energy, Rs.80 Crore  for Others (SHG/JLG/Small Loans) and    Rs.77Crore for Social Infrastructure indicating a growth of  0.70% over PLP 2019-20 projections.

RBI LDO Shri Sanjeev Kain, LDM Shri Amrik Singh, APO Kanwar Sukhjinder Singh and DCOs of all banks were present at this launch.
