Annual Function of Playpen and Nursery – ‘Odyssey of Fairy Tales’ organised

Amritsar, March 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The sparkling and radiant children of DAV Public School Cantt Branch presented the annual function ‘Odyssey of Fairy Tales’. With the blessings of worthy  president of DAV College managing committee, Padma Shree Awardee Dr. Poonam Suri ji and under the able guidance of principal Dr. Neera Sharma ji, Students of classes nursery and play pen participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in two shows i.e morning and evening show.

            The Tiny Tots put up a wonderful show and enthralled their proud parents in a colourful display of befitting costumes. Fairy Tale theme has been taken up to arouse the imagination of little angels ,to enhance their  creativity and to develop life skills . Musical Presentations of different stories like Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Snow white and Seven Dwarfs, Hansel and Gretel, Jack and Beanstalk took the audience to fantasy land. The kids conveyed the importance of values through their enactment of the stories.. The well coordinated event  held the audience in awe as one by one the items unfolded on the stage. The enthusiasm and energy reverberated through the entire auditorium hall with enough foot tapping and applause, doing justice to the entire show. It was a wonderful feeling watching the small kids performing on the stage .The whole audience sitting in the auditorium was mesmerized by the fabulous performance of the little ones.

             Munish Kapoor Regional Passport Officer was the chief guest of the show. Regional Officer (Punjab zone -A), Dr. Mrs. Neelam  Kamra congratulated the children and staff for their splendid performance on this occasion . DR. Neera Sharma ji Principal of D.A.V public school also inspired and motivated the children for their better future. Chief Guest encouraged and praised the children for their performances. He motivated the children to follow the right path in their lives and suggested the parents to spend quality time with the children. He also encouraged the children to lead a virtuous life.

            Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College applauded the efforts of staff and parents for the function’s success and wished for a better future for the students.

            Ms. Anuradha Grover in charge of DAV Public School Cantt Branch and Miss Shama Sharma in charge of co-curricular activities were the motivating forces behind the whole event.
