International Webinar on “The Impact of Covid-19 on the Mental Health of College Youth” orgnized

Amritsar, May 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Internal Quality Assurance Cell of SidanaInstitute of Education organised

an International webinar titled ‘The Impact of Covid-19 on the Mental Health of College Youth’ through Zoom App on Saturday. Dr. Jeewan Jyoti Sidana (Principal, SIE) and Chief Guest Prof. G.D Sharma (VC, Atal Behari Vajpayee University, Bilaspur) inaugurated the webinar. Prominent speakers presented their views during the day-long International webinar.

                Prof. R.B Solanki (VC, Ch. Ranbir Singh University); Dr. P. D Garg, MD (Psychiatry) (Prof. Emeritus, Govt. Medical College, Amritsar); were there as Guest of Honour. Dr. Amit Kauts (Dean, Faculty of Education, GNDU, ASR) was the Key Speaker; Dr. U.C Vashisht (Prof. of Education, University of Lucknow) was the Chief Guest of Valedictory Session .

                 Many resource persons from India and Abroad joined the Webinar. Prof. Jyotsna Pattnaik, California State University, Long Beach, USA); Mathew Swerdloff , Ed.D (Deptt. of Educational Studies & Leadership SUNY Paltz , USA); Dr. Margaret Lobo, (Music Therapist, FRSA, UK); Prof. S.P Malhotra, (Chief Consultant, MHRD, Govt. Of India); Prof. Gowri Parameswaran (Head Education, State University of New York, USA). They all presented their views during thewebinar.

                 More than 500 national and international participants including experts, members from academia and students attended the webinar from around the world. More than 24 paper presentations were made. All the participants expressed heartfelt thanks to the IQAC of Sidana Institute of Education for such an amazing event.

                  The webinar was streamed live on Facebook and Youtubealso.

                  Mr. Darshpreet Singh Bhullar was the convener of the webinar which ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. I.S Suri (Ex- Prof of Nagaland University).
