BBK DAV College organized a function under the aegis of Arya Pratinidhi Upsabha

Amritsar, Oct. 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BBK DAV College for Women, organized a function under the aegis of Arya Pratinidhi Upsabha, New Delhi today. Prominent Arya Samajists, Sh. B.K. Mittal, Sh. Jagdish Sahni, Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Shri. J.K. Luthra, Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal, Dr. Satish Sharma, Sh. Rakesh Mehra, Sh. Inderpal Arya, Sh. Om Parkash Mahajan, Sh. Kundan Lal, Sh. Mohan Lal, Dr. Neelam Kamra and Sh. J.P. Shoor welcomed the honourable Chief Guest Sh. Punam Suri Ji with flowers and garlands. All the Principals present on the occasion, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Mrs. P.P. Sharma, Mrs. Rekha Bhardwaj, Dr. Ajay Sareen, Dr. K.N. Kaul, Sh. Rakesh Mehra, Sh. Sehdev and Dr. Pushpinder Walia extended a warm welcome to Mrs. Mani Suri Ji. The function began with the lighting of the Lamp of Knowledge. Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra welcomed Swami Surya Dev Ji & the dignitaries who graced the occasion with their benign presence. On this occasion students of DAV International School sang Bhajans & Students of DAV Public School performed a dance on the theme of female foeticide. The Chief Guest of the function, Arya Rattan Sh. Punam Suri, President, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi, addressed the Principals, LMCs, Arya Samajists and the staff of various DAV institutions.

He gave a presentation on “Perception Management”. He emphasized the importance of Public opinion, quoting the example of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. He said that being a social organization DAV institutions should keep a watch on their actions and also the reactions of people around them and then upgrade their vision according to the opinion of the public. He spoke about the origin of DAV and its establishment by the veterans of Arya Samaj, Lahore. Then he also talked about the growth and development of DAV over the years. He further said that the need of the hour is to introspect & retrospect for the bright future of DAV institutions.

The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Sh. B.K. Mittal, Secretary DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi who expressed his gratitude to Sh. Punam Suri Ji for enlightening everyone with his views. He also thanked all the dignitaries for gracing the occasion. The newly constructed college lift, meant for the use of staff and physically challenged students was also inaugurated by Sh. Punam Suri amidst the chanting of Vedic Mantras.
