Arpandeep Kaur Bajwa – Sports Prodigy of SGHPS

Amritsar, Oct. 16 (Manjit Kaur) – It was a proud moment for Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, G. T. Road, Amritsar when its brilliant student and excellent sports person Arpandeep Kaur Bajwa of class X won gold medals in Punjab State Rural Sports Competitions and Shotput and Discus Throw competitions at Open Punjab Athletics Meet. Principal/Director Dr. DharamVeer Singh was highly elated when he told the media persons that Arpandeep Kaur was winner at Punjab State Sports Competitions organised from 29 September to 01 October 2014 at Gandhi Ground, Amritsar. He further apprised that she also won gold medal in shotput and Discus throw competitions in Open Punjab Athletics Championship from October 3 to 5, 2014 in Sangurur. Jaskaran Singh, another student of class VIII of the school won second prize in shotput competition. Member Incharge of school S. Harminder Singh, S. Navpreet Singh Sahni, Principal Dr. DharamVeer Singh and Sports Incharge Mrs. Amritpal Kaur gave a warm welcome to Arpandeep Kaur on her arrival to Amritsar. They congratulated her for her stipendous performance and wished her luck for many more such achievements in future.
