DC orders testing of all prisoners, MLA Dhaliwal tested corona negative
Kapurthala, July 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – District kapurthala today witnessed biggest spike in corona positive 
cases today as 26 new cases were repoted today. These new cases includes 12 prisoners from modern jail kapurthala.
Taking the serious note of increase in positive cases , Deputy commissioner Deepti Uppal said that all prisoners and staff deputed at modern jail would undergo testing as a special team of 3 doctors have been deputed at the jail. Besides that an isolation and quarantine centres were also set up in the jail to counter any adverse situation.
Meanwhile the positive cases includes 7 from phagwara , 4 from kapurthala, each one from saidon bhulana , pandori ariyan and boolpur villages besides 12 from modern jail. Now the district have 77 active cases .
Meanwhile Deputy commissioner has urged the people to follow the health protocol announced by the punjab Government. She has also made it clear that civil and police officials to ensure the strict compliance of orders to maintain social distancing and restrictions on social gatherings.
On the other hand MLA from Phagwara S. Balwinder singh Dhaliwal today comes out of home isolation after his test report turns negative.
