After recovering of Covid-19, Maulvi pledges to donate his plasma to save more lives
Kapurthala, August 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Plasma therapy has given rebirth to Maulvi of local Bibi Peero Wali
Mosque who was symptomatic and serious after testing positive of Covid-19. 41-year-old Maulvi Mohammad Amanulla was admitted at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital Amritsar where he had undergone plasma therapy. Hailing from Bhagalpur district of West Bengal, Maulvi has been residing in Kapurthala since last 30 years.
Maulvi Amanulla said that he was suffering from sore throat which turned into high fever later and when he got himself tested at Civil Hospital Kapurthala, he was declared covid positive. He said that after few days, his condition started worsening and he was referred to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital Amritsar.
“A patient who had recently recovered from Covid-19 donated plasma there which matched my blood group which saved my life after transfusion. Around 14 days after the treatment, the hospital authorities declared me fit to discharge,” Maulvi said.
Today after recovering fully of coronavirus, he pledged to donate his own plasma to save valuable lives of other people from the deadly virus. He added though, he was visiting Bengal to celebrate Eid but will donate his plasma wherever it would be needed.
