Amritsar, August 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – University School of Financial Studies of Guru Nanak Dev University organised an informative and enlightening webinar on “Investment Awareness Program”. An objective of this Bombay Stock Exchange of India (BSE) sponsored webinar is to discuss the importance of financial literacy and intricacies involved in investment planning.

            Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Head, University School of Financial Studies, welcomed the resource person and participants. She mentioned how financial literacy plays an utmost crucial role and how simply being aware can lead to better financial decision making. Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Guest speaker of the webinar enlightened the participants about how financial literacy can result in an increased level of intelligence while deciding how to invest funds based on various factors such as inflation, types of investments, prevailing interest rates, the purpose of investment and so forth. He delineated how investment in real estate provides more of emotional benefit and how based on age, the purpose of investment changes which can be an important factor in deciding where to make an investment.

            Further, the webinar focused on the range of services provided by Bombay Stock Exchange including the robust grievance handling mechanism. BSE’s mobile application and website help investors to stay abreast with the ever-changing market scenario and leads to financial literacy and awareness. The online platform provides systematic, simple and easy to use interface. The information about online services provided by BSE were important highlights of the webinar. 

            The webinar was a step in direction of bringing Expert in touch with potential investors on one virtual platform to share the vision and strategies which will ultimately lead to an increased level of literacy and awareness leading to better investment and planning.At the end, Expert answered various queries by the participants giving direction to financial awareness and literacy.
