Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu GNDU University with a purpose to promote various scientific activities among students of the University and its affiliated colleges. In a bid to make science popular, SciRox is constantly working to keep the scientific spirits alive by organizing a number of activities for students under the mentorship of Dr. Hardeep Singh Dean Students’ Welfare, GNDU, Dr. Bindiya Arora Department of Physics, GNDU and Dr. Venus Singh Mithu Department of Chemistry, GNDU.
Science Club GNDU desires to expand its outreach to various affiliated colleges of the university, other colleges, and schools of Punjab region. The society has planned various programs and illustrative activities. In order to conduct scientific endeavors in the region and also serve as a bridge between Science Club GNDU and other state, central and international science and technology organizations, Yatin Batra Student President of Science Club GNDU requested Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora Executive Director Punjab State Council for Science and Technology to assist and support SciRox, Science Club GNDU to popularize science among masses and asked for assistance and support under ‘Mission Innovate Punjab’ on 18th August, 2020.
A formal letter of support was issued by Dr. Kulbir Singh Bath Joint Director Research and Facilitation Division Punjab State Council for Science and Technology on 25th August 2020 via mail stating.
Few days back SciRox, Science Club, GNDU also signed MoU with Society for Promotion of Science and Technology in India to conduct science popularization activities in the state. “We are very honored and delighted to receive letter of support from Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, GOP and we believe and are confident that our intentions and ideas are congruous with the mission and interests of PSCST.” said Dr. Bindiya Arora Convener Science Club GNDU.
