BBKDAV College for Women won ‘A’ Division Overall Championship Trophy

Amritsar, Oct. 20 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BBK DAV  College for women, Amritsar lifted the ‘A’ Division Overall Championship Trophy while Khalsa College, Amritsar remained Runners-up and Guru Nanak Dev University Campus, Amritsar stood third in the ‘A’ Zone Zonal Youth Festival of the Guru Nanak Dev University. This Zone includes affiliated colleges of Amritsar district. In the ‘B’ Division Overall Championship Trophy lifted by Shahzada Nand College, Amritsar while SDSPM College for Women, Rayya remained second and Khalsa College, Chawinda Devi stood third in the Zonal Youth Festival of this A Zone. Tejinder Singh, SDM, Amritsar presided over the valedictory function. Prof. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Dean, Students Welfare was also present on this occasion. While addressing the student artists S. Tejinder Singh said that these festivals not only promote cultural heritage among our youth but also channelize their energy towards constructive activities. He congratulated Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare to successfully organizing this youth festival.  S. Tejinder Singh and Dr. Jagjit Kaur honoured the winners with trophies. Dr. Jagjit Kaur also honoured Chief Guest with mementos.
